A spectacle maker combines tradition, proven quality and a love of detail in his work. But a good master craftsman does not rest on the laurels of tradition. Technical developments permit innovative and future-oriented possibilities. The combination of gold, silver, platinum or titanium with buffalo horn, deer horn or high-quality synthetic material make a wide range of highly attractive options possible. Paradoxically, mass production is causing a reduction in product variety. In earlier times, visual aids were small works of art created by spectacle makers.
